Strikes, Jury Duty, Whiskey and an Obama Protest

Everyday, I’m out and about in San Francisco going to visit my customers.  As I have just updated my blog and am very enthusiastic about sharing my experiences with all of you I have started to keep my eyes open for blog-worthy material.

Well, today did not disappoint and I wonder if I could turn this into a full time profession.

1.  Strike – Causing me personal problems.

Strike at a hotel

This sight of a strike is not all the uncommon here in San Francisco.  In fact, the hotels in the area are getting hit pretty hard this tourist season.

A Letter to my Foreign Friends (Living in Distant Lands) Warning: Politics involved!

Friends, Amigos and Acquaintances,

I hope you are all well and sorry for the delay in getting you updates. It has now been four years since I came back to the States and what a ride. I got a nice job and joined corporate-land where they use the English language in a strange way such as say they “have so much on my plate,” and other metaphors which take me a minute to “digest.” Things are going well but I have to say I’m really envious of you all at the moment because I’m really missing life over there!!

Saturday Night Stroll in San Francisco

Around 4:00pm on Saturday I got the urge that often whispers to me but is mostly repressed by planned functions on the weekends. It seems that all too often these determined activities eat up Friday and Saturday night and before one realizes what has happened we are back at work on Monday. It is not that these activities are un-amusing but they can often become a blur and flurry of activity that does not let the mind roam or the possibility of exploring blindly.

Four City Impressions: Tokyo, Saigon, Columbus, San Francisco

It has been three and a half years since I first came to San Francisco to work on the career aspect of my life. Things have gone according to plan, I’ve settled into a routine and time has gone quickly. In fact, this is the most time I’ve spent in once city in the past decade.

My Experience in Vietnam: 2004 – 2006

This is a snapshot of my life and experience in Vietnam from 2004 – 2006.  Things have changed tremendously and I miss those years a lot.  I thought I would post this video and add some information for anyone thinking of exploring Vietnam.

1. We start off in the countryside.  I really have no idea where this place was, it was just very beautiful
